Peter,
Just what we need is a resident 200B expert. I prefer the Girlock 253mm
brakes on the 510 as you can still get decent pads for them but I guess the
smaller 244mm Girlock's that use the DB1091 pads off the later model work OK
as well. I just looked up the 200B on the DBA catalogue and noticed the
Japanese & the early Girlock 253mm rotor are the same (DB315) so in theory
the Japanese callipers should bolt up to the early Aussie rotor and vice
versa. It's the later Girlock callipers that have the 43.6mm hub height
compared to 48mm on the other types which present the small problem that Zac
encountered. I think I've seen Japanese callipers on some wagons but they
use a small square pad with the pin retainers that are sometimes a bugga to
get out.
How does the imported 200B booster compare to the Aussie one as far as
diameter etc. I've never used a 200B booster as you have to thump the strut
tower to get them to fit and the block spacer is bigger as well - why do
things the hard way when a 610 booster jumps on a 510 I say.
BTW what's going into the 200B Coupe? VG30DETT????
regards
Terry

Terry glad you answered that one I have noted that the Coupe has 253
mmsolid discs and Jap calipers[naturally] but together with rear irs
brakes these look to be a pretty good set up easily grafted to a 510
complete with booster
Cheers Peter
