Ah, this one could cause a bit of debate....
the old twin cam vs single cam
Old tech vs new tech

Everyone knocks the old Carby turbo, and the old Single cam
motors.... But what about Monro's 10 second Escort (2L single
cam and carby) or Craig Dysons RX7, Carby turbo doing 8's
(I know it's a rotary, but it's a carby turbo), even my old L24
carby turbo when it was in a Rail was pushing 9's
So who says you need an intercooler and EFI to run big boost.

One day I want to push a L20 and carby turbo to it's limits
and just see what sort of times/hp we can get....
Might have to put it into a Datto 1000 delux body though :)

But in the meantime, Re the 2.2L bottom end....I'll let you know
cause that is pretty much the block combo I am going to put
under my Z18ET in the 2 door.

PS. Guess what...... For all of you who though it would never
happen.....
I actually made a start on the 2 Door over the weekend!!
Started paint stripping the engine bay and pulled the rest of the
dash out... Will be getting the motor in about 4 weeks, so have
to pull my finger out.
