Bruce,

You might not see much advantage without a LSD. But if you do have a LSD
and you are street driving the car as well as racing, take note of the road
clearance with the off the shelf rear sway bar. It can often get collected
on lowered Datto's by speed bumps and driveways, etc... Datspeed in Sydney
make one that require some new mounts to be welded on to solve the reduced
ground clearance issue.

regards,

JL

Subject: Handling Question

510's,

There seems to be some differences of opinion from
recent posts regarding rear sway bars.

Before I go out and purchase a rear sway bar I need to
determine if it is a worthwhile proposition. My
current set up is:

Whiteline 22mm fully adjustable sway bar on the front,
Lovell lowered springs front and rear (45mm for both
... I think from memory), 240K struts, gas shocks all
round (non adjustable) 15" rims (to clear the
calipers), adjustable castor rods, 71 front X/Member
(mid range lower control arm pivot points). Bump steer
doesn't look like it will be a problem as the angles
look OK.

My thoughts were to go for a 18mm adjustable rear bar,
to keep the car balanced. Any thoughts ?????

Car is still in the construction stage so I can't test
drive it ... just yet !!

Cheers

Bruce
