With all this talk from Brad Hallett, I had another look at the Datrats web
site and found the following:

L20B with 86 mm Hepolite pistons, ductile gapless rings, race prepped block
and crank, shot peened rods. $1100 

If the specs of the engine suited you it would be cheeper to buy this and
stick the FIA on it than build another bottom end up.

hello all,
         I am still wondering on what bottom end to use for a late model FIA
head, it was designed for a 2.4L so i think i will go for a 2.4L...is the
whole Z24 bottom end the best combo for it??? or something a L20 with the
Z24 crank,or etc etc.....can anybody please advise me on what would be the
best????....i would like torque and revs.
