Well Nissan agreed with Julian on this issue to, they dropped the racing
development on the Group C Skyline which originally had the FJ20DET for the
RB20DET and they were much faster at Bathurst and then they got really
serious about racing and along came the daddy of them all the RB26DET. I've
often wondered how Skaife in a Godzilla would go against the current
falcodores, I'd pay good money to see that.

I disagree (but then I am biased..).  I reckon you can get more out of a
RB20DET than a SR20DET... but i can't prove that!...  It is a cheaper engine
too but has its place in larger cars...

The SR20 is perfect for a 1600 and probalby for any factory 4cyl car.  In a
heavier car such as a skyline or maybe z-car (designed for 6's) the RB20 is
at
home...  Of course a RB26 would settle in there much nicer but we all arn't
made of money..

Anyway, we will see if i ever get my engine into a R30... :)
