I totally agree with Andrew.  The GTR was a spectacular competition car and
it is a pity that CAMS should be so pressured by the losers that they
changed the rules.  I like the V8 tourers of today, but I tend to think
that
by only allowing these two manufacturers we really are falling behind the
rest of the world in motorsport related technology advances.

I can still clearly see the GTR coming out of Mcphillamy Park spinning all
fours in
practice while the V8's were feathering the throttle waiting to straighten
up
before jumping on the brakes before skyline. And that sound of the GTR
