Richard,
Nothing on the datsun 1600 is difficult to get back on
after you have stripped it (my opinion). The roof
lining is easy, if a little tedious.
If I may make a suggestion, if you intend to srip the
car completly, place all components in large
envelopes, bags, boxes and label them. Eg all drivers
door hardware in one box, passenger door in another,
dash components in another, etc etc. Makes it wayyyyy
easier when it comes to reaasembly time. BTW there is
no shame in drawing yourself diagrams to help you
remember.
I have never had a car acid dipped, bead blasting is
the way I have gone for a number of full restorations.
I like it, it is not messy and leaves the metal
intact, but spotless.
Hope this helps
