Rick,
I concur with Richard on that he has mentioned with
regard a respray, spot on.
As for the Screen Rubbers, if they are relatively new
(still soft and pliable) you can re-use them, but a
word of warning, it they are brittle/hardened in any
way, forget it, turf them as they will never seal
correctly again.
If they are hardened, you can possibly save the screen
from damage when removing by cutting the rubber to
expose the window proper, but like Richard, I prefer a
new laminated screen where possible, as older Datto's
tend to get wiper scores on the glass. Unfortunatly
screen rubbers are not cheap.
Removing and replacing the stainless steel trim around
the rubbers is not too difficult, all you need is
patience, soapy water and a blunt instrument to pry
the rubber back on one edge. Just make sure you take
the time to remove them properly as they will buckle
unless you do.
Hope this helps
Bruce
