Zac,
>From the rear conversions that I've been involved with I've found that the
ideal hub height for a solid rotor is ~60mm and for ventilated ~50mm
(Starion is the only one I've done) but it's not as easy as the R31.

BTW I've been looking more closely at the ventilated setup that our good
friend Pete L is using and it's appears to be not as hard as it first looks.
I'm thinking when time permits of having a go at it as I've got a few spare
200B hubs now as I warped a stock rotor recently but was lucky and picked up
some reconditioned DBA sports rotors and callipers which btw don't work any
better than the stock ones as far as I can tell but hopefully they don't
warp. I suspect that my master cylinder failure was the cause of the rotor
warping as it set off a chain reaction that took a bit of time to get fixed
and working as well as before.

If you're looking for a rear disk setup that uses an internal drum handbrake
I was told by SSS that a crowd in Sydney sells a modified Toyota (Stuart
didn't know the model but it must have had the 4x4.5 bolt circle) sourced
setup that adapts to a Nissan but they were selling these kits for $1300 two
years ago - compared to $250 for the R31 stuff so you can see why I chose
that path.

regards,
Terry

Terry, I know it's a bit late, but by this do you mean that the ideal hub
height for a disc for the rear of a 1600 is 60mm?
I'm trying to find an internal drum handbrake system that will fit the 1600
properly.

Cheers!
