Andrew,
Robs car did make 240 hp. Remember this is a 16 valve head,. The gear driven
Group 4 DOHC head uses 2 x 33mm inlets and 2 x 29.5mm exhausts stock.
I believe robs head had ultra light Competition Valves Australia 34mm inlets
and 30mm exhausts.
Cheers

Errol,
I just dug up an old mag and read an article on Rob Thomson's 1600 L20
powered
race car with the LZ14TC head. They claim it makes over 240hp at 8000rpm.They
say
that it uses 42mm inlet and 32mm exhaust valves, sounds small! The ports must
be
set nice and high.
