yep, You should borrow\buy a dwell meter to set the dwell angle properly. If
the cams on the distributor shaft are a bit worn (fairly common) the factory
points gap figure will be out of whack.

I don't think you have a bluebird series 2 distributor if you are filing
down points. Series 2 bluebirds have electronic ignition (no points!). You
must have a 200b dizzy (or maybe a series 1 bluebird). Now might be a good
time to convert to a series 2 dizzy?
