Speaking of ram tubes for SU's
I have a pair of 1.5" items spare since I've moved to EFI, new $30 each,
yours for $30 the pair, or $50 with pair of cleaned green sock foam filters
(can't recall brand but they're not bad at all)

chamber which contains the damping oil. This will be held in place by 3 or 4
screws. Undo those screws and CAREFULLY lift the suction chamber off. The
needle is attached to the suction chamber. Do one carby at a time and do
not swap the suction chambers.

will see the needle seat at the bottom. Visually inspect to make sute it is
clear and undamaged. Again, if it looks dodgy, replace it.

sharper the response. The best oil I have found is synthetic (Mobil 1) but
a mid-weight engine oil is fine and only use new oil.

process of setting up SU's on the rally car. They actually make a nice
noise with Ram tubes and rally socks.
