Hi Bruce,
I know this one as it happened to me on the daily driver. The other problem
that usually goes with this problem is that one of your circuits will be
hard to prime when doing an initial bleed. It also seems to be a Tokico
problem.
There is a little hole at the bottom of each reservoir that lets the fluid
come back into the cylinder when the wheel pistons/ cylinders get hot while
driving. One of these holes in your master cylinder is blocked, so the fluid
is pushed past the cups and into the cylinder that's not blocked. Mine
initially started with fluid going from front brake reservoir to rear
reservoir, makes a damn mess too as it spills all over the body and brake
fluid will eat the paint on that beautiful engine bay of yours.
I think it happens when the cylinder has been sitting for a while. Both the
holes in mine eventually blocked so then I had a major problem as when my
brakes got hot they would bind. I tried to get the crap out of the holes but
it was like crystals and I couldn't budge it out of one of them, so the
cylinder got chucked into the skip. That's how I ended up fitting the 13/16"
Sunny Nabco which is good, but not as good as a 3/4" for your setup.
regards
Terry

Subject: Brake Problems
List,
This is a curly one, I have never heard of this
before.
180B booster, Tokio M'Cyl twin reservoir (brand new)
and brake proportioning valve, standard rear brakes
and 200B Girlock front calipers.
The problem is, the fluid from the front brake
reservoir leaks into the rear brake reservoir, causing
it to "overfill" and spill. The front reservoir looses
the exact amount as the rear fills.
Brakes stop on a sixpence !!!! well 5 cents perhaps.
Can anyone help with this dilema ??
Cheers
Bruce
