Tom Linc etc,
One thing you can do is use an extractor eductor for the crankcase fumes so
they go straight into the exhaust using a 15 degree angled fitting into the
exhaust. These are common on race cars to lower crankcase pressure and get
rid of fumes.

Linc,
I haven't been busted for this and although it is illegal I don't know of
many older cars that actually have a recirculating breather for the
crankcase vapours.... most people that I know who have sorted something
like this out do it because it can make the underside of the car a bit
messy!
Also oil splashing onto the exhaust manifold and burning is a little
disconcerting- I had this happen in my car and it's not pleasant to see
smoke wafting up from under the bonnet all of a sudden he he he
But you are right it should be done since it's illegal otherwise :) I have
only seen one place selling the tiny little filters you can stick onto the
breather- and that was Mildren Race Engineering here in Adelaide- a rotary
shop- go figure!
