Yea that's true Errol. I don't think there is enough fuel vapour to cause
any problems, but pull the breather of our GTiR on boost and have a sniff -
it's quite fuel smellish :) Could also be some mixture leakage through the
valve stem seals into the rocker cover on positive manifold pressure.
I like to use a small bottle stuffed with stainless scouring pads in the
breather line to catch (de-oil) the breather fumes before burning or venting
them.
Another method which is used on my Datto is to use a remote oil filter
mount. Run the breather hose to the oil filter lines. Screw on a filter
which catches all the oil from the vapours before exiting under the car.
Also I think your way would work well too, and the partial vacuum achieved
would help to reduce oil drawn into the cylinder on intake stroke.
