Andrew,
I believe the CA18det is a very underated having worked on a few Silvias.They are a
quiet and flexible power plant and respond well to boost increase with a large
exhaust and larger intercooler and I would imagine this would be even more so with
after market engine management.I dont like the auto version as it wont allow you to
load the motor at low revs and make use of the turbo torque.Unlike Sydney there are
lots of CA18det Silvias on the streets in Perth and some performance workshops are
based around these.One such workshop is Glenn Campbell Motorsport having dynoed many
factory Nissan turbo combinations on the CA18det.I am currently trying to convince
someone into letting me fit one into a mk1 Escort.
