Neraj,
The CA is a much easier swap.

Cheers

Subject: Re: Power output of a Fj20det?

Andrew,
isn't a SR20/1600 swap actually easier than for a
CA18?
also, isn't the extra cost of a SR20 justified in
terms of power, potential and longevity?
I always considered this to be so. That's not saying
CA18's are bad engines. One guy i knew was pulling
0-100 in low 5's with his Ca18DET silvia. The car
arrived in Australia with heaps of good gear, and
unlike many had not been thrashed to death. I actually
suggested to my younger bro to look for a good CA18DET
silvia, before he bought his 1600. (sorry guys) He
didn't listen! He plans to put in a SR20 soon. He was
contemplating a CA18 swap, but has also been told that
a SR20 swap is fairly easy.
Is this actually the case?

Regards,
Neraj.
