Last year I saw a Les Collins built L18 block delivering 210HP.  Cost was
around $12000, thats right, 3 zeros after the 12. Capacity is 2.31ltrs and
you have to relieve the block to allow the rods to clear the sides. The
motor will spin to 7500 all day and night, but it sounds like a truck at
idle, due to the large piston to cylinder clearance.  Anything is possible
its just down to how much you want to spend.
