I've got all my stereo wires running through the floor of my car and any
high current sources can induce "noise" through the stereo if they run close
to speaker wires. Plus the thickness of the wire probably would have put a
small lump under the carpet. Depending on what you have in your car you may
want to run it through the car. Don't forget to put the battery in a
battery box. It helps keep everything tidy and safe plus you wont get
battery acid corrosion all through the boot.
