Hi Dave,   I was very very weary before having my diff welded (daily street driver).  I am happy to report that apart from the mandatory 'squeak, squeak' of the tyres at parking speeds, that it is a ball tearer.   Very highly recommended, if you can put up with a little harshness at those parking speeds.   I was expecting the car to 'push' understeer and do all sorts of nasty things, but as it turns out, my style of driving seems to go well with it....i.e. brake before a corner, turn in a power on.   Two things to consider....a) make sure when it is welded it is done right, the first one I did myself with a MIG and it lasted about a week before busting 'open' b) my car runs 5deg positive caster and 1.5deg negative camber, apparently this helps the car turn with the locked diff.   Cheers,   Cam CM510 www.datnet.org/cm510 ----- Original Message ----- From: David Arundel To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Monday, October 01, 2001 9:49 AM Subject: RE: question (correction) Thanks Terry, It is alot of ca$h to spend on a diff. would most go fast datto's be running a LS or is a locked diff an option or abit hard to master around corners?
