've had this problem too. It was really poor on the '68 with fold out wipers. I found some LJ Torana( I know, I know :) deflectors that slot onto the arms and they worked pretty well. A while ago I found some factory arms with built in deflectors on a 1200, and swapped them over, they look pretty 70's (which I like) and work well too. I've had the rear doors pop open slightly too when cornering hard, it shows how much a car body actually flexes... The only solution I though was to change the latches to the later model pin style, which would be a lot of work obviuosly. Just make sure they're always locked :>
