Cheers Dan. -----Original Message----- From: mick ralph [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Monday, 26 November 2001 5:04 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: 1600 brakes. Daniel Minimum you should do is the 240K sumitomo double piston calipers and discs. What u have to bear in mind is that most brake setups (including standard) work very well for the first hard stop. Then as heat builds up the performance fades. Standard brakes are good for 1 or 2 hard stops 240K are good for 4 or five hard stops 4 spots on vents - well i haven't been able to fade mine yet Of course the above list also goes in order of expense $$ with lowest cost first. Brakes and gear box are the first things i would upgrade on any 1600 There are heaps of cheap reliable upgrades available so i guess it depends on $$$ and whether u canm get the right bits and pieces. cheers Mick ----- Original Message ----- From: "Sargent, Daniel (AU - Brisbane)" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Monday, November 26, 2001 11:43 AM Subject: 1600 brakes. > Hi list. > > I am trying to decide what to do to the brakes on my 1600 as I feel that I > need something a little better than the standard set.
