List, Following on from a thread a few weeks back. I am looking into a conversion for running vented disks under 13 x 7 wheels (hotwires for example). Plan was to use the Sumitomo twin opposed piston calliper on a 240K strut (253mm diameter disk, 48mm hub and 12.7mm thick). I would need to use a spacer in the centre of the calliper to accommodate a vented disk. Question is which disk to use. The R31 hub type vented disk has about the right specs ie 250mm diameter, 48mm hub and 22mm vented, But being hub type is probably a different disk offset. The 240K disk has the hub bolted to it.
Ideally a disk with the same offset to the calliper bracket would be the easiest to fit as there would be no change to the calliper bracket. Anything more than a 22mm vent would probably cause the spaced out part of the calliper to fowl on the wheel. In the DBA cataloge the S12 gazzelle look like a good canidate and it might be possible to take the hub to if the height is correct. Does anyne know? The s13 sivia looks like a good match also. The 280zx could work depending if the hub will fit the 240K strut and provide the right offset. Anyone know what would work the best?
