Just about any 12A or 10A for that matter that you find will need to have the end plate and or the rotor housing replaced by now. For that reason trying to rebuild one of these the cost will be greater then say for a 13B 6 port EFI imported motor. That is why most people put the 13B into the early RX7 rather than rebuild their motors. the 13B is about 20mm or so longer from memory. My aqdvise would be find a dead 12A pull it apart, have your fun, learn how it all works and then if you want to find a 13B that some one has taken care of but is now blowing smoke and rebuild that. The housings should be ok, so the only cost will be water seals, apex seals and oil control seal. Just my view thou!
