on my z18 combo, i put  a commodore v8 throttle body.  you will have to get some strips of aliminium about 10mm- half inch thick, and get them welded on the  left and right hand sides of the  flange where the z18  body mounts, this makes it bigger , so u can  put the v8 body on.you will then  have to get the surface machined flat, or if your reall y good with a file use that. the hole  will have to be enlarged too.  i THINK from memory i used one of the original z18 throttle body  mountholes.  you might have to grind away the manuifold where one of bolts go, for the body, to get more room for the nut/bolt,

sounds alot , but over all its quiet eazy.

Subject: Z18 questions

guys how do you get the clutch fan off the front of a Z18, I've taken all 8 bolts off the front, but they only hold the blades on and the 2nd half of the clutch, I can't work out how to take the whole thing off, I need to make room for thermo's.

also what options do I have for replacing the Z18 throttle body, the stocks ones look really restictive, my stock ET pulsar throttle body has a bigger inlet than that.....anyone know if the RB30 throttle body will bolt up? I've got a few of them here and they're like 50mm .
