Hey Andrew, I heard that race cars use a venturi in the exhaust at the last collector. This means that you can get really effective scavenging of the crankcase. Even more than using the induction system - and with no effective octane loss. For a road car you'd need some type of one-way valve to stop pressurising the crankcase at idle. Perhaps a fuel tank breather valve could be modified to do the job.
It is not really nice or environmentally friendly and not at all suited to a road 'legal' car, but it is probably the highest HP method. At least it is another way to increase your engine efficiency for not much $$ Regards, Nick > > From: "Andrew Greenbury" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > Subject: RE: god bless webers!!!!! > Date: 31/01/2002 11:39:14 > To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > > Thanks Terry, > > Oil not lasting as long is an interesting side effect - would this be > eliminated if you fitted the PCV valve? > > Have I got the rules straight that your system would still not be > legal if you did have the PCV fitted?
