damien,
the quoted figure is actually total timing advance at approximately 3000-4000 rpm. i've got mine set at about 14-15 degrees initial (idle) advance. it is rare to run vacuum advance with webers, so the weights and springs inside the distributor require 'fiddling with' to give the most user friendly timing advance system. are you using a series 2 bluebird dizzy, coil and plugs ????
dunc.

In the near future I am putting a Worked head (L28 valves, decked, ported WRC cam) onto my L20B. It will be fed by a single 45mm weber. I could not help but notice that you are running 34Degree timing!!! Is this apposed to the normal 8 or 10 degrees that a stock L20 with electronic ign runs?????????????????????????????
