Daniel,

The reg plug is an 8 or so pin connector at the external regulator that's
on the guard at the rear of the standard battery position.

A Hitachi reg has a bunch of wires coming out of it and ~3" from it there's
a plug that's attached to the loom. Disconnect this plug and jumper the
wires as i said in the previous post on the loom side plug (female side).
