Hello Leighton, You know how you can buy adjustable cam gears to advance or retard your cam to shift the power band up and down? On SRs and a heap of other motors they have a cam gear that can be adjusted as the motor is running, so that when it is revving low they shift the power band down, and when it is revving high they shift the band up.
