You may want to get a lumpy cam which will enable you to rev it out a bit more (no low
rev power tho) which suits rally as you tend to hold gears and revs alot longer, also
good extractors and exhaust. make sure its a well built engine, its gotta handle some
tough driving.

Hi Listers,
i'm going to be building an engine for my 180b sss rally car soon & i was wondering if anyone could give me ideas on top of what i already have for it?
Ideas-
L18 block
L18 head ported out
L20b cam, valves etc
looking at either 2 commodore injectors... not sure what model they are going to come off.. but i have been told these are a good idea if they can be adapted ...maybe to a twin hitachi manifold
or just a set of 2 inch su's or 45mm webers ...
... i am still learning stuff about engines cos i dont know too much .. that is why i am asking for some ideas ... so thanks alot for your help..
sorry about the long email
thanx
Matt
