Morning Matt!
Well!... Uhmm I'd go for twin Webbers! EFI is great
BUT it costs, and if you don't go all the way, there's
no point! Especially if its your first car/motor.

I run a L18(in a 180B rally car) which has been bored
to around 1.9Lts and its built with reliability and
Torque in mind. Rallying unlike circuit racing, its
all accelaration(Spell) from corner to corner, Cos
theres a corner every 50-150 (approx)metres! So a
torquey engine is the way to go, It's better to have
more torque then outright HP! EFI would help BUT its
very expensive!!!
I've got about 188Hp BUT torque form about 3000+.
I looked at it and it was going to cost about $4000!!
Alot for about %5 increase!

Rememeber, its all in the head!!

L18W Block! (stronger!)
Comp: 10.0
Go for L28 Valves
Big port head (But not toooo Big! You lose Torque))
72 Cam
Twin 45s
Hm21C Headers and a 2 1/4 Exhuast.

Good Luck!!!
I'll see you in the forest!!
Cheers NAT

P.S GO THE 180B- THE COOLEST CAR IN THE WORLD!!
