For Rallying you should keep things pretty
simple. A pair of Hitachi's or a pair of 45mm side draft webers, properly
jetted, would be the go for a start. EFI requires a computer and sensors
plus pots of $$$ to set up the tuning.
An L20 head is a good option for the bigger
valves.
Have the bottom end balanced and you should have a
reliable rally motor putting out around 150 - 180BHP. Later you may
like to fit a stroker crank to get about 2.32L capacity in the L18 Block. This
really ups the grunt for rally application.
For rallying, motors need to be
strong and reliable rather than having huge HP. Brakes, Front struts,
Gearboxes and diffs also need to be
beefier than stock items. have fun.
