When i put my twin SUs on, my L20B ran like crap.Rough as guts and revved out really slowly. It seemed to be running on three. I could see down the throats of the carbies though, and the back ones wasn't atomising anything. Pulled off the float bowl top, and the fuel inlet was clogged solid with crap. Cleaned it all out. Ran much better. It was only running on TWO.

Cracked spark plug? Dirty spark plug? I would be temped to give the
plug a good solid clean/replace, clean all the cleanable ignition
parts, and see if that helps.
