Actually I'd say apart from the windscreen wipers of the 68 which are prone to dance at high speed and rubber fuel neck which can perish,and steering spear the earlier models are probably slightly better, with higher build quality than the Aust/NZ assembled cars and slightly better suspension geometry at the front with lower ride height. That said there's not much between them and the SSS Bluebird coupes and Sedans are the highest quality and most collectible.I always laugh when I see the 'super deluxe' badge on my car, I guess it has carpet and a heater but was a long way from deluxe when sold! I always see more 70-72 models in NZ, with a few 60's cars still getting around. I'd imagine a 68-69 model would be worth slightly more than the eqivalent 70's cars, but most of us probably spend many times the initial purchase price on our 1600's anyhow :)
