On the basis of recent postings (thanks Terry et al), I've done a stock take of my cam collection:
#1 Unknown origin (200B I think): reground 290/280 degree 115 overlap .500" valve lift (a wild theory cam). Pulls _very_ hard around 4500 but falls flat on its face around 6200. No markings at all. #2 An original '71 L16 210 cam. "A" grind. 31.3mm base circle, approx 7mm lift. This is the one in my street car. Pulls hard down low but chokes above 5500. #3 A 200B U20 "B" grind. 33mm base circle, 7mm lift. No idea how it goes #4 Another U20 "B" grind from a '73 610SSS (is this the original cam?). Identical base circle and lift to #3. Again no idea how this goes either. #5 A 210 "C SSS" grind, thats been reground to 36/72 74/34 with barely above stock lift. 30.5mm base circle. Q. I assume the #5 cam is (was?) the original 510SSS cam? Q. are #3 and #4 likely to be identical grinds? I was under the mistaken impression I had #3 in my street car, but I've just found I have #2 in it. I'm swapping it tommorrow. Will let you all know the difference, though I'm sorely tempted by #5 :-) --membersozdat------------------------------------------------------- OZDAT Mailing List Please Note:- Send (un)subscribe requests to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Send submissions to [EMAIL PROTECTED] No unauthorised redistribution of this email http://www.ozdat.com/ozdatonline/index.htm http://www.ozdat.com/ozdatonline/listindex.html http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ ---------------------------------------------------------------------
