Chris, Sounds like a serious job.Where did you get it from as im curious as a mate bought a ca18det from jap wreck last week but didnt need the ecu or gearbox. A bit of engineering and you could mount the nissan cas to the front of the L cam. The ecu does switch the fuel pump and mounting the det sensor wouldnt be to hard but there's a lot of other stuff you would need. The AFM,FICD valve,AAC valve, air regulator, temp sensor,Throttle body with idle swith and tps, pressure soleniod, injectors with dropping resistor, coils and transistor, oxy sensor, speed sensor?,ignition and voltage imput.I guess if you have all of this sitting around it might be worth while. But if you have to get this stuff from the wreckers then it would probably be cheaper to buy a complete ca18det.The one we got last week the guy was asking $1300 for the motor, box, ecu and loom with a stuffed turbo.I didnt bother to check how complete the loom and ancillaries were as we only wanted the motor so he took a bit off the price.
