I use BMW 4-spot cals (cast iron, but they were cheap) and Ford XW vented discs. These fit under 14" rims, although there was a small amount of 'shaving' of the outside of the cal required. Probably depends on the type/model of rim. The BMW cals bolt straight to the Z strut, but require some modification because they originally used a dual independent brake line system, they also require a couple of spacers to get the cal centred on the disc...no biggy. The Ford discs require some hub machining, but nothing special. I did all the machining myself. Some people have used Volvo 4-spots, but these require a dogbone to mount to the Z struts. On the back I have R31 discs and cals. I have used the above setup with a stock master cylinder for a number of years on a 260Z that is built basically just to do track work (club sprints, etc) without even a hint of fade. I also just use Metal King brake pads....nuthin special. The only change I've made recently is an adjustable bias valve. --membersozdat------------------------------------------------------- OZDAT Mailing List Please Note:- Send (un)subscribe requests to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Send submissions to [EMAIL PROTECTED] No unauthorised redistribution of this email http://www.ozdat.com/ozdatonline/index.htm http://www.ozdat.com/ozdatonline/listindex.html http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ ---------------------------------------------------------------------
