Iggy,

Did you remove your existing lines that went from the xmember to the old
drums. I was shown how to fit up R31's with the stock Skyline flexi hoses
and have always done it this way without a problem and I got mine mod
approved.

regards
Terry

Subject: Brake lines

Guys,

Went to get my steel lines done for my rear discs today. Got quoted $54
bucks to have the two ends of my brake line flared with fittings! He was
gonna charge me $88 to have new ones made out of copper! I made the line out
of some left over bundy tube that I had. He took one look at it and said
that he wouldn't guarantee if the flare cracked because the material was all
wrong! He then suggested copper brake lines. I thought copper was the wrong
material to use. I politely said thanks and left.

Do you guys reckon he's bumped up the price because he didn't want to do it?
It doesn't really matter because I got hold of a flare tool that does double
flares. Just need to get the fittings. Does Pirtek ,etc carry those
fittings, or do I have to go to a brake shop?

Thanks
