Hi simon porting your head can make a big difference in hp. When Steve Newing at speed technology Victoria Ph 03-98735400 ported my head and reseated the valves ect we gained nearly 20% more flow that's with bigger exhaust valves. Give him a ring he is a good bloke and very knowledgeable as for the valve springs I still run standard ones in mine it really depends of if you want to fit a bigger cam and give it more revs. i wanted to do this to mine but at $800 for cams then new lifters and valve springs its a bit out of my price range. Having a 8 valve head instead of 16 valve head should at least be cheaper it cost me close to $800 to have my head done over including some new guides. Also Jeff Taylor in sydney 96238826 also does good work on nissan stuff and is reasonable priced. He built my old race A14. Cya soon Andrew PS: you still right for next weekend??
