Richard, Please don't get me wrong, I'm all for a swap meet for Dattos, I didn't read into the earlier message the social importance of such an event and I may have given you the impression that I canned it - not so. Echuca would be a great location too, real nice place - fabulous motor museum there.
Speaking of bits, Steve's at Queanbeyan has a '69 out there with not a lot in it but it does still have what looks like a straight frontend (read the ultimate xmember) and whatever landed it there wasn't a frontend hit (looked more like neglect to me). The struts were not a breed that I was familiar with and the springs weren't captive by about 2" and all the units were painted yellow. I found Echuca to be very central in SE Australia, it has lots of accommodation and a few very enthusiastic Datsun owners.
