Andrew, What I'm after is for a 1600 with a non-locking ignition switch dash and the book calls the part I'm after an "escutcheon and nut" - yeah... right, I'll have to have a peek in the Webster's to get a clearer meaning for that one. It's a bit tricky to describe the bit I'm after but I'll give it a go.
To remove the ignition lock you undo a black retainer on the front of the switch which screws into a circular sort of round thing that is like a collar that goes over the switch to stop it rotating when you turn the key. The whole thing holds the switch in the steering cover. I'm after the collar part as mine broke in half many moons ago and I super glued it up. It broke ago recently but this time it seems like some of it has gone awol so I kinda had no option but to gaffa it. Email me off list with details etc if you can help me out. regards Terry -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]]On Behalf Of Andrew Greenbury Sent: Tuesday, 9 July 2002 9:32 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: RE: What about a Japanese "Swap Meet" Hi Terry, Can you please give more description on what you are after, as I think I may have one? thanks Andrew --membersozdat------------------------------------------------------- OZDAT Mailing List Please Note:- Send (un)subscribe requests to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Send submissions to [EMAIL PROTECTED] No unauthorised redistribution of this email http://www.ozdat.com/ozdatonline/index.htm http://www.ozdat.com/ozdatonline/listindex.html http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ ---------------------------------------------------------------------
