what you really need to do it properly is a small bottle jack that you can butt against the fire wall and turn the lead screw pushing the welsh plug in. I'm going to try some chemweld stuff as it is only a very small leak. Someone suggested tapping the plug in a bit but I'm worried that that would disturb it more.
I got the cooling prob sorted out, either the thermostat was sticking a bit or there was a massive airlock in the system! Anyway it idles away at about 82 degrees celcius after the thermostat opens. One problem down, one more to solve.
