In a console is good, I've seen some good ideas over time with them there. What does look good is a 240K or 180B GX console with the gauges fitted in the hole for the radio - some folk use 2" polypipe and even cut it at an angle towards the driver. My preference is to mount the gauges in the standard radio position, easy to make up a nice face plate i.e. much higher up so you don't have to look down to see them and re-fit the radio/head unit in the console.
