They were known as eccentric camber adjusters in my day, very popular on
180B and the like to correct +ve camber - Nissan came out with the offset
top plates which are much safer. I only ever used them once in a 180B as
they were cheap but they always came loose - one day we were out in the bush
somewhere and noticed that one had obviously come loose so we tippee toed
into town to borrow a pit - when tightening them up well bugga me the 3/4"
socket exploded and that was the end of that - so we adjusted the camber to
where we wanted it and then oxyed the buggers in place - they never came
loose ever again, and the camber never moved either on that car until we
sold it but it's not the recommended solution.
