They are weak where they have been machined. I wouldn't use them anywhere -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] On Behalf Of Sandejas, Ignacio Sent: Wednesday, 4 December 2002 8:42 AM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: RE: Rally question
These camber pins for the lower control arm... Are they bad for road use?? I've seen you guys make the point a few times but I was curious if that was just for competition only, that the problems occur? -----Original Message----- From: Brad Hallett [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Tuesday, December 03, 2002 9:47 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: RE: Rally question In 15 years I have destroyed 3 P510 shells and one Subaru RX turbo in rallies. The first car I rolled was end for end and I had a 2 inch 4 point harness with bolt in aluminium cage. After that first experience I refuse to race a car unless it has weld in steel cage with intrusion bars and a 3 inch 5 point harness. The 2 inch harness cut my shoulders and stretched during each impact and the cage flexed and moved with the crush of the pillars, very dangerous. Interesting point is that crash was caused by an adjustable lower control arm pin breaking as I pulled 5th on a long straight. Don't use these adjustable camber pins they are accidents waiting to happen -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] On Behalf Of nat P.
