Hi listers, I am getting ready to re-paint my engine bay, and i was just after a bit of advice...
The whole shell was recently painted, but i am not happy with the job they did in the engine bay, so i want to respray it in just a matt black so that i can easily touch up nicks and scratches later on... I gather i will need to sand back the previous paint to get rid of the gloss before i spray over it, is this true?? How far should i sand it back?? it was taken back to bare metal before the current paint job so i am assuming i wont have to go that far.. maybe just roughen it up a bit and get rid of all the gloss?? Also, what grade sandpaper should i use? keeping in micd i don't want to spend days preparing it for paint... Any help or advice would be great, Thanks heaps, Mark --membersozdat------------------------------------------------------- OZDAT Mailing List Please Note:- Send (un)subscribe requests to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Send submissions to [EMAIL PROTECTED] No unauthorised redistribution of this email http://www.ozdat.com/ozdatonline/index.htm http://www.ozdat.com/ozdatonline/listindex.html http://www.mail-archive.com/[EMAIL PROTECTED]/ ---------------------------------------------------------------------
