fuel in datto 1600

hey,     ran my datsun 1600 in a supersprint at willowbank on saturday car ran ok, bit lean at high revs, but what can u do ?   anyway I decided that instead of filling up with LRP i would use Optimax with a lead replacer I put about 22 ltrs of optimax in a nearly empty tank from that point onwards the car wouldn't run properly & kept starving for fuel & stalling   there no reason that the optimax would cause a problem with the car is there ?
