Thanks for the replies guys,
Yeah my battery is in the boot, but i ruled that out as being the problem
because i am using proper thick battery cable all the way to the front for
pos and neg.. And also at the time the battery in the boot was being jumped
by a 308 statesman...
It can't hurt to try though, so tomorrow i will move the battery back up the
front and see if it'll spark.. Thanks for your input Rick.
As for the wiring, i did it myself from the ecu pinout. I have hooked up the
constant 12v straight to the battery in the boot, and there is 12v running
to that wire (i cant remember pin # either) when the engine is cranking. But
i think your right in that it only richens it up a bit to get it going
easier.
I have had the car running before, but since moving the battery to the boot,
changing fuel pumps and fitting a t25g turbo something has stopped it
sparking :( When i first put the battery in the boot and tried to get it
running i accidentally had a big short at the starter... We fixed that up
though and when we cranked it over there was spark because the timing light
was flashing, but since then it has decided to stop working! Very
frustrating because it was working and then it seemed to stop working all by
itself!
Sorry for the long post but if anyone can think of any reason that it might
not be working that would be great! I'm not ready to give up yet :) Very
frustrating though because i am so close, yet so far!
Thanks,
Mark Firman
