Michael,
I'm
thinking that the 180B long dogbox will have an alloy speedo pinion holder so
for 3.7 diff you'll need a 6x19 pinion drive (white) or for a 3.9 diff you'll
need a 6x20 pinion (red) & holder as the slot is in a different place
- or optionally you can fly cut the 6x19 holder to make the tag fit
correctly. There's a good chance that the pinion drive in the box is a 6x19
(white) already if the 180B it's out of was an Aussie production model with
3.7 diff. Some of the Japanese 180B SSS models had a 3.9 or 4.1 diff
so it's a bit of a lottery with pinion drives.
Regards
Terry
im goin to be running 195 60 14s. Ive got the
180b still sitting in the driveway, so scavanging parts is NO problem
;-)
thanx again Terry

Pleasure, but I forgot a couple of things, (SOB syndrome),
you'll need a longer speedo cable, 180B does most conversions and is a
straight fit to a 1600 speedo and also you'll need the correct drive.
Let me know what wheel/tyre size and diff ratio you intend to run and I'll
work out which pinion drive will make your 1600 speedo reasonably
accurate.
Regards,
Terry
Thank You very much Terry, exactly what i
needed to know ;-)

Auto 510
Michael,
Use 1600 xmember reversed, spaced down around 19mm and use flat
type engine mount from 240K, Bluebird etc - you will need to
drill a few holes especially as a 180B Dogleg 5 speed is longer than
the Stanza variety. You need to relocate the handbrake cable guide -
depends on how fussy you are and how cluey your RTA inspector is.
You'll also need the 130mm shorter tail shaft but measure to be sure
that's the correct length.
Regards,
Terry
Hi there, ive searched the archives
with little succes. I going to be droping my L18 and 180b sss dogleg
5speed into the auto 510 and i was wondering if theres a standard
gbox xmember mod?
Or should i use a combination of 610
xmember and the auto 510 one,?
Or cut up the auto 510 one and mod/weld
it to suit?
Or buy some steal plate make a
totally custom one?
I havn't bolted the motor/box in as yet
but it will be done this week so any help would be greatly
appreciated.
thanx and havea good one
