What is it with people hating easy
outs.
Used them heaps, always got the bolt
out.
One point to think about is, the closer to the size
of bolt you can get your easy out to be, will leave less bolt around the thread,
making it easier to undoo, as the threaded section, normally will try to
collapse on itself (making it easier to come out)
Too small a easy out, and it will be more
difficult.
you also need to use the exact right size (high
speed) drill bit down the centre (with a fast drill)
Doing it fast with a sharp drill bit will add less
heat to the middle of the bolt.
If you heat the inside of a bolt, it will het
harder to drill, so shap, and fast, always works.
Then you wind them in, making sure you do not try
and bend the easy out.
Please remember these are very highly heated to
harden these.
These things are brittle, but take your time,
preparing to drill, and espeacially to unwind stuff (trying to do it fast, you
will bend the easy out), causing it to shatter/snap.

hi, screw eazy outs, (literally..) they gotta
be the worst device ever. used a eazy out once , the thing
broke , and had to take a whole auro trans out to fix it,
. the bit that broke of was in a transmission pipe connection,
took the trans out, had to just about knock the eazyout
out with a punch, aliminium welded the butchered connection ,
then retapped a thread..........
absolut
PITA.
